Last week Chris Welsh (Wart, Doc Dino, The Grime) kicked off his Kickstarter campaign for new project Ness with the kind of early numbers comic creators dream of. I was lucky enough to catch up with him and ask him a few questions about the project…..
James McCulloch has already proven that horror is the genre he’s inspired to write with the likes of City of Lost Souls or The Grime already being a part of his gruesome creations. Things have gotten significantly darker with his latest title though as he teams up with artist Pedro Mendes to bring the first issue of the three part story Little Girl Black.
James McCulloch (City of Lost Souls), Tom Ward (Merrick: The Elephant Man) & Chris Welsh (Wart) put their collective heads together and got a team assembled for new release The Grime #1, the first in a horror anthology that not only offers a new series of horror comic tales but also the chance for new talent to flex their creative muscles.
After a stellar run with the first four issues of Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman the gods of good indie comics (can’t remember his name) nudged creators Tom Ward & Luke Parker back into the world they had created for a new one-shot…….and Kickstarter beckoned to get the issue into print.
