Russian folklore is not a theme that has appeared in my reading pile much in the past, if at all, but with the first volume of Nobrow’s Gamayun Tales that was about to change.
Belgian creator Max de Radiguès is a new name to me but thanks to his all-ages Nobrow title, Stig & Tilde, that was going to change.
Having already known about Nobrow from the indie comic scene it was catching up with ‘In Waves‘ from AJ Dungo earlier this year that really hit me head-on.
AJ Dungo’s graphic novel from Nobrow hit the “must read” list in my head thanks to a recommendation on The Awesome Comics Podcast, so diving into the book already felt like something I’d get something from.
