Writer Tom Ward & artist Luke Parker have always impressed with their Merrick title but with a new two-pat arc released of the main title after a one-shot and a crossover it was about time I paid the title a visit again………cue the Elephantman!
I first discovered Luke Parker’s work on issue #1 of the phenomenal Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman with its gritty, Mignola-esque vibe that was an instant draw for my pulp-loving mind……….and his work has just got better & better since then.
After a phenomenal run on Merrick The Sensational Elephantman (#1,#2,#3 & #4) the creative team of Tom Ward, Luke Parker & Nic J. Shaw returned for a one-shot set in the same universe and focusing on Merrick’s friend with a motive, Dr Treves.
After a stellar run with the first four issues of Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman the gods of good indie comics (can’t remember his name) nudged creators Tom Ward & Luke Parker back into the world they had created for a new one-shot…….and Kickstarter beckoned to get the issue into print.
After a more than impressive beginning in issues #1 & #2 of Merrick : The Sensational Elephantman the chance to get my hands on an early copy of the next issue had me scrambling for that download button.
