The Kill Screen from writer Mike Garley, artist Josh Sherwell & letterer Mike Stock became a bit of a small press revelation to me from the first panel of the first page and they’ve returned to the days before the technological event that shaped their world in the Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost release.
The latest release from Mike Garley sees him return to B-Movie antics of Samurai Slasher in Part II and after a stunning opener it’s good to see more of this quirky, messed up comic.
The four single issues of The Kill Screen from writer Mike Garley, artist Josh Sherwell & letterer Mike Stock quickly became one of my favourite Indie releases in recent years (maybe ever) and it was a matter of time before I revisited it in the collected edition……plus……it’s a hardback!!!
The Kill Screen from Mike Garley & Josh Sherwell has recently finished it’s 4-issue first arc and the collected edition (plus a ton of extras) is up for offer as part of their Kickstarter……i got the chance to fire some questions at Mike and see what the future holds for their creation.
After a stellar opening with issues #1 & 2 that pretty much ensured an entry in my highlights of 2014 – I was lucky enough to get an early look at issue #3 of one of my favourite indie comics around.
