Subversive Comics had already produced the amazing Metal Made Flesh series but they added Super Robot Mayhem into the mix in 2017 and opened my eyes to a whole new genre.
The latest release from Subversive Comics sees a concept from Adrian Mursec & Jeremy Biggs became a reality thanks to Kickstarter and an already impressive fan base.
Metal Made Flesh from Jeremy Biggs & Simeon Aston already has two amazing collected editions on offer with a third on the way but in the meantime I picked up Omens to tide me over.
Creators Simeon Aston & Jeremy Biggs brought Metal Made Flesh to life with a series of successful Kickstarters and with the third volume hitting print next month and the introduction of additional creators into the mix, it felt like a good time to catch-up with them.
Another book I sort of stumbled across was Metal Made Flesh and after two astounding volumes of it and a few tie-in releases it’s become one of the indie releases I can return to again and again.
Cy Dethan & Gary Erskine team-up for some new Metal Made Flesh material spinning out of the amazingly successful Kickstarter for volume two and this stretch goal reward tries to capture the same vibe as Simeon Aston & Jeremy Biggs’ original concept.
The first three parts of Metal Made Flesh was one of the best reads I discovered on the small press tables at London Super Comic Con 2014……so the chance to get hold of more was an added bonus.
