The Kelvingrove Art Gallery played host to a celebration of Frank Quitely’s work for half of 2017 and I was lucky enough to make it along three times it was THAT good.
Jupiter’s Legacy already kicked off with an impressive first volume and to follow that up with an even more impressive start to volume 2 was a showcase for the Millar/Quitely creative team.
Mark Millar & Frank Quitely have always seemed like one of those perfect combinations that generate interest in the title they’re on purely because of who they are and to have them team-up on the second volume of their creation Jupiter’s Legacy makes it an easy addition to the pull-list. Last month saw Glasgow’s Aye Write Book Festival hit the City again and I made it along to two of the Comic themed panels that took place as part of it’s Aye Con strand.
Next week sees the release of Chrononauts #1 from Mark Millar as he teams-up with Sean Gordon Murphy to bring us this much-hyped new title through Image Comics. I got the chance to catch-up with Mark and see what we should expect from this and the other comics/movies that he has in the works.
