Writer/creator Owen Michael Johnson has already impressed with titles like the anarchic Raygun Roads & the epic Beast Wagon but his most personal release by far is the semi-autobiographical Reel Love and its getting a much needed collected edition through Unbound.
Owen Michael Johnson & John Pearson released their small press sensation into the wild back in 2015 with a launch/exhibition and that journey comes to an end with the release of the double-sized Finale this Saturday……..but thankfully that’s not an April Fools.
Beast Wagon has been one of THE stand out titles to come from the UK indie/small press scene in recent years and after interviewing the creative team ahead of the release of the first issue back in 2015, it seemed fitting that I should catch up with them again as we edge closer to its conclusion.
The final issue of the phenomenal Beast Wagon will see the light of day on it’s release on the 1st April and while I hope it’s all a joke that it has to end I can’t wait to see what the fifth issue brings us.
There’s no denying that Beast Wagon has been a whirlwind of a title in the small press/indie world but it’s pretty much been a revelation for me and many other fans, so to get an early look at Chapter Four is an AMAZING perk of being in this comic review game….
One of THE standout indie release in recent years has been Beast Wagon from writer Owen Micheal Johnson & artist John Pearson and with the highly anticipated third chapter ready to be launched next weekend I’ve been lucky enough to get an early look.
Beast Wagon hit the Indie comic scene with the type of successful Kickstarter many could only dream of and that paved the way for the first two issues to reach print this year.
