The third Avengers movie from Marvel hit the big screens earlier this year and to some extent it feels like a lot of us haven’t quite recovered from the events that unfolded across that two and a half hours run time.
The extended cast of the MCU were all at hand as the call to arms went out as they prepared to face-off against the mighty Thanos who had made some brief appearances up until now but this Marvel Studios offering let us get inside his head & see his motivations. A battle was fought across the entire Universe as he set his sights on gathering the Infinity Stones in an attempt to flex his galactic muscles with an ultimate show of power. The battle was epic in scale and relentless in its execution and with victory within the grasp of both sides at different times the movie played out with a multitude of shocks along the way. Action-packed & bittersweet at every turn the final scenes left me in awe at what had been achieved as ten years of movies had built to this moment and we still had the rug pulled from under us………and the result of all that effort is the movie-going masses can’t wait for the next part to hit the screens in 2019.
