Hitting my list for the second year in a row is Reel Love by Owen Michael Johnson as he tells us more of his love of the movies in Act Two.
While last year’s Act One told us about how he discovered and revelled in the escapism that the movie world provided it’s more life lessons on the go with Act Two as growing-up, working and finding a place in the world has become the focus with the movie world still offering that crutch of escapism to get lost in.
We end up with another glorious blend of funny moments, heartfelt moments and a bittersweet ending that sums up what it’s like to embrace a passion and have it drive you forward while it also manages to remind you of the good times when things were all just a but easier. Amazing work form Owen again on writing & art duties and a must-read for any comic or movie fans as it crosses the magic of both mediums.
