A look ahead to…..London Super Comic Con 2016

LSCC2016

With just about four months to go the countdown for London Super Comic Con 2016 is well and truly underway and with the recent announcements of the first two waves of guests…..it looks like the team behind the event are aiming high.

After a stellar start back in 2012 the event hits it’s 5th year in 2016 and it’s one of the few permanent fixtures in my list of “must-see” events.  A chance to meet some of the BIGGEST names in comics, fire some questions their way in the panels and get a look at the flourishing independent scene in all it’s Artist Alley glory.

A quick read through the first two waves of guests should prove just how varied the list of attendees is and while the names announced would already be enough to guarantee an increasing number of visitors to the event – there’s sure to be some more surprises with future waves on the run-up to the event next February.

First Wave:

Jeremy Bastian

Howard Chaykin

Ian Churchill

Michael Dialynas

Gary Frank

Juanjo Guarnido

Enji Night

Ryan Stegman

Jill Thompson

Mike Zeck

Second Wave:

David Aja

Duncan Fegredo

Lee Garbett

RM Guerra

Alex Maleev

John McCrea

Humberto Ramos

John Totleben

Chris Uminga

Chrissie Zullo

Past experiences in 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 are still fresh in my memory as each year has proved bigger & better and there’s already high hopes for next year.  Partly for the guest list but just as much for the debut issues from the independent creators who’ll be there……..with my list of “Must buys” already starting to take shape……the reading pile is sure to grow as a result.

Keep up to date with all the LSCC news on the website, Facebook page & Twitter and I’ll see you there. 😉
